Pleasantly surprised to see that DC is helping to lead the progressive fight for equal civil rights for all on what is unfortunately such a contentious issue.

Yeah, go DC! I was so disappointed in New York a few weeks ago - my state senator voted against it, in fact. Being against equal rights is just cruel, and I won't excuse people on the basis of religion or the fact that they're old and conservative.
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo! I was so busy studying somehow I missed hearing about this. One thing that really gets me steamed is how the opposition says all they want is the "right for the people's vote" to hide their discriminatory intentions :/
